To the great Arab people of Ahwaz,
To the free people of our Arab nation,
To the defenders of freedom and justice around the world,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this day, April 20, 1925, the Arab State of Ahwaz was subjected to a brutal occupation by the Iranian state\u2014one of the most heinous colonial crimes of the 20th century\u2014executed with international complicity and a disturbing silence from global powers.
The legitimate Arab rule led by Sheikh Khazal al-Kaabi was overthrown, and the national sovereignty of an indigenous Arab people was stolen, simply because they clung to their Arab identity, controlled their own resources, and held a vital geopolitical position along the shores of the Arabian Gulf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since then, our people have lived under a bloody, racist occupation, enduring the worst forms of violations and atrocities\u2014from mass killings, forced displacement, and demographic engineering, to the erasure of Arab identity, the drying of rivers, plundering of resources, banning of the Arabic language, persecution of activists, and execution of the free\u2014all under the rule of a tyrannical regime that recognizes neither the rights of peoples nor the dignity of human beings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But after a century of occupation and resistance, we affirm to the world that the Arab people of Ahwaz have not broken, have not surrendered, and have never compromised on their national rights\u2014foremost among them the right to self-determination and the restoration of their sovereignty and independence.
They have remained steadfast in their quest for freedom and liberation, in defending their identity and just cause, and have sacrificed their finest sons and daughters for the sake of reclaiming their usurped state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We, in the Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front, and in line with our national and historical responsibilities, declare the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. We reaffirm our unwavering and ultimate demand: the full independence of the State of Ahwaz and the end of the Iranian settler occupation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. We regard the continued Iranian occupation as an ongoing crime against humanity and call for the prosecution of the Iranian regime in international courts for its crimes against the Ahwazi people and other peoples in the region.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. We call on Arab and Islamic countries and the international community to recognize Ahwaz as an occupied state and to support its people’s struggle in regional and global forums.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. We warn that the international silence over Iran’s crimes only encourages it to persist in its aggressive policies in Ahwaz and throughout the Arab region, through its financing of militias, destabilization efforts, and the fragmentation of societies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. We affirm our full solidarity with the struggle of non-Persian peoples within the geography of so-called Iran, and we call for intensified joint efforts to break the Persian colonial hegemony and to support the strategic alliance among these peoples, as represented by the Front of Non-Persian Nations advocating the right to self-determination for oppressed and occupied peoples.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. We call upon the masses of our people and all national Ahwazi forces to escalate the resistance, unify ranks, and strengthen revolutionary, political, and media action both inside and outside, until the land is liberated and the state is restored.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    To all freedom-loving people,
    The centennial of occupation is not merely a moment of sorrow, but a turning point for reflection, renewal, and moving forward with confidence and determination. Nations are never defeated if they hold firmly to their rights, and we are certain that our people’s sacrifices have not been in vain\u2014and that the victory of Ahwaz and the rise of a free Ahwazi state is inevitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
