The greater concern is that they might never\nbe allowed to return home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahwaz region located in the south and south-west of what is currently known as Iran. Iranian regime instead of providing aids, the Iranian regime\u2019s terrorist group known as IRGC (also known as Sep\u0101h-e P\u0101sd\u0101r\u0101n-e Enqel\u0101b-e Esl\u0101mi) attacked Jalizeh village for refusing to abandon their homeland. As a results of that attack 34 People were injured and 1 dead. In fact, it is even worse than <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ahwaznews.tv\/2007\/06\/ahwazis-remember-black-wednesday.html\">the Mohammareh black Wednesday massacre<\/a> as it is utilising \u201cnatural disasters\u201d\nas a tool of ethnic cleansing and forced migrating Ahwazi Arabs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some people may or may not remember the\n\u2018Black Wednesday massacre (Many people remember that as crime against humanity\nby the Iranian regime) which was carried out directly in response to Khomeini\u2019s\ndirect order to Ahmad Madani the military governor of Ahwaz at that time to\nkill all of the members of political and cultural organizations of the Ahwazi\nArabs in Mohammareh city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/acfh.info\/en\/?p=2562\">killing\nAhwazi Activists<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/acfh.info\/en\/?p=2709\">publicly\nannouncing that they hate Arabs (in different platforms)<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/acfh.info\/en\/?p=2097\">Iranian\nregime\u2019s deliberate attempt to Forced Migrate the Ahwazi citizens from Ahwaz to\nother region<\/a>, has\nbeen a plan since this regime\u2019s early days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iranian regime after occupying Al-Ahwaz, they\ninitiated programs and policies of Persianization by enforcing Persian or Farsi\nas the official language and banning the teaching of Arabic in the schools in\nthe region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the Natural wealth in Ahwaz region over 90%\nof oil and gas wealth claimed by Iran located in the region, while poverty\nspreads among Ahwazi people. We are victims of institutionalised wider spirit\ndestitution and deprivation such as for example;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>HealthCare<\/li><li>Decent\nEducation.<\/li><li>Lake of\nequal employment opportunity.<\/li><li>Clean\nwater<\/li><li>And even\nclean air<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahwazi Arabs in Iran often face state\ndiscrimination in areas including politics and culture. Iran is the second\ncountry after china in terms of execution, Ahwazi Arabs make the most of their\nlists. Iranian regime even executed pregnant woman. There are thousands of\nAhwazi Arab has been executed and imprisoned by the Iranian racist regime to\nkeep Ahwazi Arabs under control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no end to the suffering of the\nAhwazi people. From <a href=\"http:\/\/acfh.info\/en\/?p=1057\">heavy\nand deadly sandstorms<\/a> (Sand storms that now routinely plague the region\nare the result of a decline in humidity throughout the whole region as wetlands\nvanishing), to <a href=\"http:\/\/acfh.info\/en\/?p=2709\">racism and the way we were treated,\ninfluenced many Ahwazi Arab people, including myself, to wake up and defend\nourselves against Iran. Iran always have hatred towards Arabs<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suffering of the Ahwaz people\ncontinues from banning farmers from farming to brutally oppressing Ahwaz\nactivists to \u201cdried dams\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahwazi Arabs are among the most brutally\noppressed peoples in the World. In the past (before Iran\u2019s occupation of\nAl-Ahwaz) Ahwaz was a rich land with rich people ran by the Ahwaz leader Shekh\nKhazal. Since the Iran\u2019s occupation of Al-Ahwaz Iran has taken all oil, gas and\nother natural resources and Ahwazi Arabs received nothing in return. Ahwaz is\nalso one of the most oil-rich nations in the world. Ahwaz is the backbone of\nIran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The situation of the floods damage has\nbeen very bad that the Iranian government have banned foreign activists and journalists\nfrom visiting the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iran has seen major flooding for the past two weeks in hundreds of villages, towns and cities in the western half of the country, where in some places an emergency situation has been declared. According to the spokesman for the emergency department, 57 people have died in the floods and about 478 people has been injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/adpf.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/Ahwazi-Dead-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-889\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Javad Zarif Iran\u2019s foreign minister tweeted,\nto blame US sanctions on not receiving aids from other countries for the Ahwaz\nfloods, even though the floods was caused by the Iranian regime themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response to Javad Zarif\u2019s comment, U.S.\nSecretary of State Mike Pompeo said, the floods show the \u201clevel of Iranian\nregime mismanagement in urban planning and in emergency preparedness.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not long-ago Iranian regime were saying\nthat there is no water in Dez Dam and other dams as even the regime banned\nfarmers from farming. They destroyed all the wetlands even though people who\nlive there were earning money through fishing and making mattresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How Iran\u2019s Khuzestan (part of Al-Ahwaz)\nwent from wetland to wasteland;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/acfh.info\/en\/?p=2879\">Dams\nconstructed:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, in order to provide the water needed for these\nwater-based industries, as well as the prosperity of agriculture in the desert\nprovinces, during the mentioned period (from the Iranian fifth state to now),\nsix reservoir dams and a number of regulated and detached dams constructed on\nthe outskirts of the Karkheh, Karun and Jarahi rivers, which are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Parsel\n11 (Banghstan) dam<\/li><li>Ghotvand\nOliya dam<\/li><li>Techan\nDam<\/li><li>Dez Dam<\/li><li>Dehnou\nHendijan Dam<\/li><li>Ramhormuz\n(Jareh) dam<\/li><li>Septon\ndam<\/li><li>Sare\nTirak Haftgel dam<\/li><li>Karoon 1\n(Shahid Abbass por) dam<\/li><li>Shoh\nHamid dam<\/li><li>Zehiriyeh\nDam<\/li><li>Karoon 3\ndam<\/li><li>Karkheh\ndam<\/li><li>Kaltondar\ndam<\/li><li>Maroun\nDam<\/li><li>Masjed\nSolieman (Ghedar Lander) dam<\/li><li>Vali Asr\ndam<\/li><li>Karkheh\nRegulatory Dam<\/li><li>Ghotvand\nRegulatory Dam<\/li><li>Dez\nRegulatory Dam<\/li><li>Behesht\nAbad dam<\/li><li>Tunel\nKuhrangh 3 dam<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The true reasons behind the\nman-made floods in Ahwaz;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Iranian authorities opened gates of\nthe \u201cAbbas por\u201d Dam in the Masjid Suleiman after opening the gates of three\ndams in Ahwaz that are Maroun Dam, Dez Dam and Karkha Dam, under the pretext of\nrising water levels behind these dams, according to the Iranian officials in\nAhwaz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thousands of Ahwazi rural inhabitants of villages on\nthe outskirts of Susa (Shoosh) city are still trapped in floods up to written\nof this report as Iran Red Crescent could only rescue and accommodate 1600 of\nthem. The condition of thousands of Ahwazi rural inhabitants still hazardous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the Iranian authorities not rescuing people from catastrophic floods, the terrorist IRGC officers attacked defenceless Ahwazi people inhabitants of Jelizi rural area, 20km from Ahwaz capital on the Tuesday night of 2ndApril 2019. Iranian officials try to flow flood waters out of dams towards Ahwazi agricultural lands and homes without warning people or providing aids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"774\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1032 \/ 774;\" width=\"1032\" controls src=\"https:\/\/adpf.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/IMG_4569.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption>Video shows the floods from helicopter view.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"240\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 416 \/ 240;\" width=\"416\" controls src=\"https:\/\/adpf.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/IMG_4647.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption>Ahwaz citizens seeking international help to stop the floods.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Centre believes that what is going on in all\nover Ahwaz comes under pretext of implementing the \u201cKhuzestan comprehensive\nsecurity plan (1)\u201d in order to Iranian regime reduces the Arab population to\none by third. According to following evidence the Centre believes that the\nflooding phenomena in Ahwaz is deliberate and man-made:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First: the Iranian regime has prevented the Ahwazi\nfarmers for last 4-5 years from farming due to lack of water and drought, and\nIranian environmental scientises has warned about finish of underground water\nand alarming low level of water behind dams in Ahwaz region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second: Dez dam as example has density of 3.3\nbillion Sq\/m and it needs minimum of six months continues raining to be filled\nup completely and as scientises warned about lack of water behind the dam, how\nit become full within few rains led to opening the emergency gate after 69 year??<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Third: how can we imagine that all the dams in\nKhuzestan (part of Al-Ahwaz) region been overwhelmed at the same time and their\nemergency gates been opened simultaneously in 2019???<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fourth: the Iranian governor in\nKhuzestan, criminal Shariati said in the Iranian pro media that if the Ahwazi\npeople are not displacing themselves quickly, the authorities will relocate\nthem in coercion way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fifth: as it happens in all the world,\nif floods happen, the army and other governmental representative will help people\nby moving them to safe place and providing warm food and dress for the affected\npeople, but the Ahwazi people despite passing nearly one week did not receive\nany kind of support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sixth: why the flood phenomena happened in 2019 not\nany other year ??? is it because the security plan execution time ends by 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seventh: one of the Iranian officials (cannot\nremember the name) 3-4 months ago said that we are going to have severe floods\nin south and southwest of the country. If the Iranian authorities been aware of\nfloods with reasonable amount of time, why they did not take rational steps to\nreduce the casualties in all kinds???<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eighth: despite nearly passing a week\nfrom floods, why there is no presence of Iranian army in Al-Ahwaz??<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ninth: while Ahwazis are suffering from the severe\nflood, why the Iranian media are not speaking about the Ahwazi miseries?? Is\nthere blockade instructed by Iranian security service for not to cover Ahwazi\nflood???<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tenth: in so appalling situation, IRGC\nforces broke flood-defense dykes built by Ahwazi farmers against devastating\nfloods. As shown in yellow line on the picture, IRGC exploded the flood-control\nlevees to protect oilfields in wetland without taking into consideration risks\nimposes to the life of Ahwazi people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iranian authorities said minimum two million Arab residents, most of them\nfarmers, have been displaced by themselves from their villages, while floods\nthreaten hundreds of thousands of the residents of the \u201cSusa\u201d, \u201cKhafajiya\u201d,\n\u201cAlbesaitin\u201d and \u201cDar Khewin\u201d cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Opening the emergency gates of Dez Dam along after\n69 years with other IRGC built dams such as \u201cKarkheh\u201d, \u201cAbass Por\u201d and \u201cMaroun\nDams\u201d, diverting the stream of floods water towards Arab villages and\nagricultural lands in the occupied Ahwaz, targeting the demographic changes of\nthe Arab population structure and destroying the agriculture economic structure\nin all over Al-Ahwaz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahwazi activists have been sent videos from Ahwazi people complaining of the Iranian authorities for ignoring the Ahwaz flood victims. The Ahwazis are saying that the Iranian government has deliberately opened the dams but has not opened roads and ways to sew it into both Hor al-Azim and Al-Dauragh wetlands, to protect the oil fields and installations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahwazis people didn\u2019t get any aids or support from the government so Ahwazis from man to women and from young adults to adults they turned to other Ahwazis seeking help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"256\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 480 \/ 256;\" width=\"480\" controls src=\"https:\/\/adpf.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/Young-Activists.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"400\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 320 \/ 400;\" width=\"320\" controls src=\"https:\/\/adpf.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/Seeking-food.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>While Ahwazi people helping people in\nneeds, the IRGC arresting some of them secretly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While IRIB does an interview like this one but it does not get published in their national TV. Filtering, from Internet Filtering to selective News, so we shall continue the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BanIRIB\">#BanIRIB<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/IRGCTerrorists\">#IRGCTerrorists<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"600\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 480 \/ 600;\" width=\"480\" controls src=\"https:\/\/adpf.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/IMG_4637.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We Ahwazi people strongly condemns the Iranian heinous crimes\nby deliberately making the flood to change the Arab demographic structure of\nAl-Ahwaz and calls for international aids for Ahwazis that are suffering from\ncentury phenomena made by Iranian regime. The centre calls upon humanitarian\norganisation and NGOs to put pressure on Iranian regime to stop its vicious policies\nin Al-Ahwaz and condemn it in the United Nations and other humanitarian\norganisations and parliaments.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We need the international organizations to\ndictate to Iranian regime to;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022 Stop Persian racism and bigotry against\nAhwazis.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022 Free political prisoners.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022 Demand for unconditional freedom and equality.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022 Stop stealing Ahwazi rivers\u2019 water.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022 Understand that Ahwazi Arab lives matter.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022 Put an end to ethnic demographic change in\nAhwaz.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022 Understand that Ahwaz is Arab homeland and\nrespect this fact.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022 Allow education in Arab language.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022 Understand that Ahwazi people\u2019s language is\ntheir identity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022 Understand that Ahwazi people are Arab people and not Arab\nspeaking people.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hossein Bouazar is a human rights activist from the Ahwaz region in Iran.
