Occupying State Poses International Threat: Iranian Military Advisor Dies from Injuries in Syria

On Thursday, the Fars News Agency in the occupying state reported that a military advisor from the “Aerospace Forces” of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard died from injuries sustained in Syria in recent weeks.

Hussein Salami, the leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, referred to the advisor as “Colonel Ahmad Reza Afshari from the advisory aerospace forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard in Syria,” stating that he succumbed to injuries caused by an airstrike carried out by the coalition violating Syrian sovereignty, according to Reuters.

The media of the occupying state did not specify the exact timing of the strike but mentioned that Afshari sustained his injuries between late July and early August. Both the United States and Israel have been conducting attacks in Syria targeting militias linked to the occupying state, Iran, which has increased its influence in the region since it began supporting the Syrian president during the war that broke out in 2011.
