We extend our gratitude to the United Kingdom for its steadfast stance and decisive actions against the Iranian regime. Similarly, we commend Sweden and Norway for their unwavering commitment to holding Tehran accountable for its continuous violations of international norms. We urge other nations to follow suit and impose similar measures to curb Iran’s destructive policies, which continue to devastate the region through its criminal militias in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon, as well as its occupation of non-Persian peoples, including the Arab state of Ahwaz.
The Ahwazi Arab people, like other non-Persian ethnic groups under Iranian rule, endure relentless oppression, systemic racism, and ethnic discrimination by this tyrannical regime. Since 1925, the Ahwazi people have been subjected to Iran’s occupation, denying them their sovereignty and fundamental human rights. We call on the international community to support the legitimate Ahwazi cause and back the right of the Ahwazi Arab people to reclaim their land, sovereignty, and self-determination.
While these sanctions are a step in the right direction, they alone will not halt Iran’s pursuit of policies that undermine regional stability and violate international agreements and human rights. We stress the importance of further pressure on Tehran through robust support for the oppressed peoples within Iran’s political geography. These peoples, including the Ahwazi Arabs, should be empowered to regain their rights, freedoms, and self-determination.
Lastly, we acknowledge and appreciate the international community’s collective efforts to impose sanctions on the criminal regime in Tehran. We call for continued and intensified global solidarity to confront Iran’s actions and to stand with the oppressed peoples striving for justice and freedom in the face of decades of systematic abuse and occupation.
