First and foremost, we congratulate you, the members, supporters, and the Arab nation of Al-Ahwaz on the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic people Front of Al-Ahwaz, and we view the continuation of your long-standing struggle as a positive sign of resilience.
The issue of Al-Ahwaz, or Arabistan, is not just a historical matter but one of the most complex human rights and national issues in the geography of modern-day Iran. A nation that has endured nearly a century of occupation of its land continues to fight for its national rights and its right to self-determination. The discriminatory policies of the Islamic Republic, such as demographic engineering, cultural repression, environmental destruction, and economic deprivation, have turned the plight of the Arab people into one of the most critical examples of human rights violations in the world.
Today, in 2025, Al-Ahwaz remains subjected to oppressive policies aimed at erasing its Arab identity, fostering economic impoverishment, and destroying its culture. Policies of demographic alteration continue, alongside massive water resource transfers, industrial development projects that disregard the rights of the Arab people, and economic deprivation—all implemented to stifle the resistance of the Arab nation. These actions have not only devastated the lives of the people of Al-Ahwaz but have also pushed the region’s environment toward complete destruction.
From the latest statements and plans of Iranian officials, it appears that Iran’s policy is shifting from centralization to a maritime-focused approach. Their attention is now turning to the coasts of Baluchistan and the Arabian Gulf. However, this shift is not aimed at recognizing the rights of these two nations but is instead a colonial plan intended to marginalize and annihilate us. This includes proposals to transfer 20 to 30 million people from Persian-dominated regions to these coastal areas, an issue that demands active resistance and a unified struggle with a broad and collective goal.
Simultaneously, the Middle East is undergoing significant geopolitical changes that directly affect the struggles of oppressed nations. The Islamic Republic, which insists on its repressive and expansionist policies, faces domestic pressures from its people and international isolation abroad. These conditions provide a unique opportunity for oppressed nations to coordinate their struggles and, through extensive inter-group and inter-national cooperation, create the groundwork for overthrowing this regime.
In this journey, unity among oppressed nations and the formation of a joint bloc by bringing together all existing alliances under a unified structure is a historical necessity in the fight against the Islamic Republic. The Democratic Alliance of Nations in Iran, which our party—the Balochistan Raj-e-Tapk Party—is a member of, pursues this vital goal. Undoubtedly, our shared struggles can amplify the voices of oppressed nations to the global stage, compelling the international community to recognize our legitimate rights, especially the right to self-determination. At the same time, it can dismantle the regime’s internal policies and ensure the rights of the people.
The right to self-determination, which is a legitimate and internationally recognized right, remains the primary demand of our nations. This right is not only a fundamental human and civil right but also a cornerstone for ending the internal oppression and colonization of non-Persian nations in Iran. Its recognition at the international level could be a significant step toward establishing justice for us.
The Balochistan Raj-e-Topaki Party, as a national progressive party that itself is engaged in the struggle for the right to self-determination and the restoration of national sovereignty for the Baloch nation over Balochistan, declares its full support for the struggles of the Arab people of Al-Ahwaz. We are ready to cooperate with all political groups and parties of the Arab nation and other oppressed nations to overthrow the Islamic Republic regime and work toward a just future based on national and human rights.
With hopes for the victory of oppressed nations, including the Arab nation of Al-Ahwaz.
Mouhim Baloch Sarakhsh Secretary General of the Balochistan Raj-e-Topaki Party January 19, 2025
