The Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front commends the principled, humanitarian, and courageous
stance taken by the Australian Parliament and the Government of Australia in designating the Islamic
Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
The Front particularly values the position of Foreign Minister Ms. Penny Wong, who has adopted a
clear and forthright approach in condemning the systematic violations committed by the Iranian
regime against non-Persian peoples, democratic and civil rights activists, and the broader course of
human rights in the region.
This step represents not merely a political decision but also a decisive moral and humanitarian
message that the international community will not tolerate the continuation of state-sponsored
terrorism, summary executions, the systematic repression of activists and dissidents, nor the
suppression of national identities and pluralism.
The Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front affirms that this historic decision marks a significant turning
point in confronting the machinery of oppression employed by the Iranian regime against our Ahwazi
people and the other non-Persian oppressed and occupied nations within Iran. It constitutes a
strategic development that paves the way for broader international positions aimed at protecting
civilians, defending fundamental rights, and opposing political violence and state crimes within Iran.
In this context, the Front reiterates its commitment to continue its efforts and institutional
cooperation with all Australian and international bodies, as well as with institutions of the
international community, to strengthen the course of legal and diplomatic pressure, expose ongoing
violations, and defend the right of peoples oppressed by the Iranian terrorist regime to freedom,
justice, dignity, and self-determination in accordance with international law and the charters of the
United Nations.
