The Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front of strongly condemns the mass killing of innocents and holds the Iranian authorities fully responsible for the terrorist act that occurred in Kerman.

The Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front vehemently denounces the terrorist actions carried out by Iranian authorities on January 3rd in Kerman, resulting in numerous civilian casualties.

This terrorist act is part of the Iranian regime’s strategy to direct accusations towards the popular movement in non-Persian regions, as well as towards Iran’s political geography and regional and international entities. The regime aims to portray itself as a victim to attract domestic, Islamic, and global public opinion, especially amid the turmoil in the region and Iran’s involvement in the bloodshed of innocents, particularly in Gaza. Previous events in Mashhad’s Imam Reza Shrine, Shiraz’s Shah Charagh event during the 2023 revolution, the so-called “Platform/Stage” attack in Ahwaz in 2018, and incidents at the Kazmain Shrine in Iraq, and Lady Zainab’s Shrine during Ashura in 2023 serve as clear evidence of this terrorist approach, utilising the blood of innocents and isolation as tools to convey messages, commit crimes, and destabilise security in the region and the world.

This heinous crime warns of further atrocities by the Iranian regime across its political geography. The regime is likely to intensify arrests and executions under pretexts of ensuring security, facing foreign threats, and ready-made charges such as collaboration with Israel and Arab and Western countries.

As this crime unfolds, the Iranian regime is preparing for the presidential elections. Surveys indicate that the overwhelming majority of the Persian people do not intend to participate in the upcoming elections, reflecting deep divisions within the regime’s apparatuses and state institutions.

The Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front , while condemning the killing of innocents by the Iranian regime, calls on the international community to hold the Iranian regime accountable for its daily crimes in Ahwaz, non-Persian regions, along with the Persian people, and in the region in particular. The world is expected to witness more killings and state terrorism by the Iranian regime, further undermining security and stability.
